VOSNE-ROMANEE – Pascal Lachaux has been making the wines at the famous estate of the late Robert Arnoux since the great 1990 vintage. He is, after all, Arnoux’s son in law. The Arnoux wines come from some of the world’s most sought-after vineyards — Romanee Saint Vivant, Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Vosne-Romanee.

And Pascal has added some impressive vineyards to his personal line of wines, too. These include Grand Cru wines from Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint Denis, and Gevrey-Chambertin. These well known Grand Crus are the wines that I am privileged to import.

Pascal has lowered yields and improved the vinification process in order to take advantage of the fact that all of these wines are made from old vines. That gives them a quality and consistency that others only dream about. In fact, Pascal’s wines are among the finest expressions of these most storied “terroirs”.

Pascal tells me that he “lovingly watches over the winemaking from vine to wine”. He aims for wines of great finesse and concentration that are true to their terroir. Obviously, he succeeds as both the Arnoux wines as well as his personal wines are among the most honored in the world. Both Robert Parker and Clive Coates say that they are among the best in the world. These wines are most limited and exclusive. Please do enjoy!
